Sharra attended Louisiana State University, and focused her studies on a pre-medical concentration. During her years at LSU, she was a proud member of The Golden Band from Tigerland where she played trumpet.  She graduated in 2001 with a BS in Zoology, but decided to further her education and pursue a career in nursing.  She attended Our Lady of the Lake College and received an Associate of Science in Nursing degree in 2005.  After practicing nursing for six years, Sharra wanted more.  While continuing to work full-time, she enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University and began working towards an advanced degree in nursing.  She completed her Bachelor of Science in nursing in the summer of 2012 and immediately enrolled in Southeastern’s School of Graduate Nursing in the family nurse practitioner concentration that fall. She graduated in May 2015 with a Master of Science in Nursing.  Sharra comes to us with eleven years of nursing experience in the operating room, recovery room, same day surgery, and endoscopy settings.

Originally from Baton Rouge, but raised in Denham Springs, Sharra is proud to be able to give back to her community by providing much needed primary care to its residents.  As a Family Nurse Practitioner, she is able to see patients of all ages, and looks forward to developing a therapeutic relationship with each and every one of them. She currently resides in Walker, and is the proud mom of two very active boys. She can often be found at one of her favorite places; the ball park, the soccer field, or the basketball court, watching her boys play.Type your paragraph here.
